At least that's the way Steve Gallagher, his wife, Laura, and Laura's sister, Barbara Perrotta, are marketing their startup vineyard in St. James. The newest and westernmost vineyard in Suffolk County will boast the motto, "The North Fork Starts here," and by late spring of next year, bottles of Smithtown Chardonnay should be ready to be sipped.
