Stony Brook University Library's Green Renovation Gets Gold

Summary


The green renovation of the 25,000-square-foot library on the Southampton campus of Stony Brook University has earned a LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Plainview-based contractor E.W. Howell worked on the library redo designed by Mitchell/Giurgola Architects. The two-story building has seating lounges, conference rooms, technology-enhanced lecture hall, cafe, group study rooms, collaborative work spaces, and staff offices.
