Richard Kessel, chairman of Long Island Power Authority since 1997, could be replaced when his term expires Aug. 31 if a proposed state law that seeks to give Suffolk residents equal representation on the power authority's board of trustees is passed.
Under the bill, the number of seats on LIPA's board would grow to 16 from 15, with seven required from Nassau, seven from Suffolk and two from Queens.See the full content of this document
