Shares of Globecomm Systems jumped more than 8 percent on Tuesday after the company received a $13.1 million award from NATO for systems that support a multi-national global positioning satellite- based friendly force tracking system.

Globecomm previously received $7.8 million from the alliance to build the GPS, bringing the NATO contract total to $20.9 million.
