Napco Security Systems in Amityville Reports 69 Percent Profit Jump for Latest Fiscal Year

Richard Soloway, chairman and chief executive of Napco Security Systems in Amityville, is having the kind of year most executives only dream about. Demand for the company's electronic security equipment is at an all-time high. Last week it reported profits had jumped 69 percent for the latest fiscal year.

Soloway is happy to present the data that backs up those claims, including revenue of $65 million, a 12 percent improvement over 2004. In July, Napco was selected to join the new Russell Microcap Index, a benchmark that tracks the performances of 1,000 of the smallest public companies. That inclusion, Soloway said, will help attract investors.
