Devinder Mahajan was named a Jefferson Science fellow for 2011- 12. The program brings professors of science and engineering to the U.S. State Department for one year to advise officials on science issues related to current and emerging policy. Mahajan is a professor in the materials science and engineering department and co- director of the chemical and molecular engineering program at Stony Brook University.
