Long Island Oil Terminals Sold

Summary

A Massachusetts oil and gasoline distributor said Tuesday it will buy two refined-product terminals on Long Island for $34.7 million.

Global Partners LP, one of the Northeast's largest oil product wholesalers, will purchase the terminals from ExxonMobil. The terminals are located in Nassau County's Glenwood Landing on the North Shore and Inwood on the South Shore. The Glenwood Landing terminal has an active storage capacity of 104,000 barrels and is supplied with gasoline, ultra low sulfur diesel and heating oil by barge. The Inwood terminal can hold 326,000 barrels and is supplied by both barge and the Buckeye Pipeline system.
