Long Island Power Authority buys renewable power

The power the Long Island Power Authority delivers to ratepayers is about to get greener.

New York state's comptroller and attorney general has approved a 10-year distribution agreement between Brookfield Renewable Power, a Canadian generator of green energy, LIPA and the New York Power Authority as well. This is the second long-term contract between the power authorities and the utility.
