Long Island-Based Lifetime Brands Reports Loss

Lifetime Brands on Thursday posted a loss, blaming the drop on higher sales expenses related to past acquisitions.

The kitchen and home products distributor posted a loss of $1.5 million on higher, compared to a profit of $1.3 million a year ago. On a per share basis, Lifetime lost 11 cents per share compared to a 12-cents-per-share profit last year.
