Hoboken, N.J., most famously known for native son Frank Sinatra, has something new to sing about.
The city has called on Symbol Technologies Inc.'s line of radio frequency identification (RFID) readers to combat illegal on-street parking permits. The innovative solution means an end to parking officers visually inspecting each car's parking sticker, which some officcers say are difficult to read through tinted windows.
