A Nassau County Comptroller audit has found NuHealth failed to collect between $3.5 million and $6.5 million due to incomplete billing information, paid excessive overtime and issued contracts without proper bidding procedures.
Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos, whose audit extended from 2009 through June 2010, said billing errors, including incomplete information related to diagnosis, resulted in a loss of up to $6.5 million in noncollectable payments.See the full content of this document
