Commentary: Regionalism Is the Answer

Summary

Just this past week Governor Paterson released the Draft State Energy Plan that was prepared by the State Energy Planning Board. The report highlighted the importance of developing and promoting existing economic development programs that would assist businesses engaged in the clean tech field. It also spoke about the need for local governments to take the lead on developing new zoning laws that would allow for the siting of alternative energy facilities such as solar, wind and biomass.
