Bactolac Pharmaceutical Inc. is getting ready to bulk up. The 9- year-old private label vitamin and supplement maker recently purchased three acres off Old Willets Path in Hauppauge where it plans a 45,000-square-foot building, said Dr. Pailla M. Reddy, president and chief executive of Bactolac.

When the building opens - it should take up to two years - it will join Bactolac's 37,000-square-foot building on Oser Avenue and the 29,000 square feet at 35 Engineers Road it has rented for a year. With the new site, Bactolac's employee count should jump from 140 to about 300.
