Li Power Authority: Keyspan, Anp Plants Still Possible

Summary


Although the Long Island Power Authority kept the joint proposal from KeySpan Corp. and American National Power for two power plants on Long Island out of its $4 billion plan to expand the Island's supply of energy, the authority said those projects still have a chance.

LIPA Chairman Richard Kessel said through a spokesman that LIPA will still consider buying the permits, plant sites and other assets associated with the KeySpan and ANP projects.
